Our Return Policy according the Right of Withdrawal (Revocation)


General Information

Our aim is to provide high quality products along with excellent service, for 100% customer satisfaction. Therefore we grant you a Right of Withdrawal according ยง 355 BGB (German Civil Code). Within 14 days upon receipt you can return the goods. Please don't unseal videos, dvd's, cd's and software. If you expect a 100% refund, make sure, that the product does not show any tracks of use.

Consumer: Value of Returned Good exceeds 40 EUR and goods are paid

Consumers with residence in Germany will receive upon request a return label for the free of charge of the return, if the value of the returned good exceeds 40 EUR and the invoice had been fully paid and the contract of sale had been revoked within 2 weeks upon receipt of the goods in writing, by e-mail, letter or fax. You can request the return label by email to info@budoten.com.
You can withdraw from the contract of sale by returning the goods. Punctual dispatch suffices to comply with the time limit. The costs will be refunded if the delivered goods do not comply with the ordered goods. In general the costs will be refunded by bank transfer, cheque or credited to your account.

Consumers with residence outside Germany will be refunded the costs of returning the goods according the applicable legal provisions. Further information you find in the Right of Withdrawal / Revocation in our Terms and Conditions.

Consumer: Value of Returned Good does not exceed 40 EUR or Goods are unpaid

If the value of the returned good does not exceed 40 EUR or the goods had not been fully paid yet, you will have to bear the costs of return.

Please note or mark the reason of return on the return receipt attached to the delivery. Thus you help us to improve our supply. These information are voluntary, you will not have to give any reason for the return of the goods. We recommend to return the parcel in the original shipping package containing the complete delivery (including the sales package) to our return department:

If you don't use our Return Service

We recommend consumers with residence in Germany to make use of our return service, if the value of the returned good exceeds 40 EUR and if the goods had been fully paid. We kindly ask you to make sure to send the items back with adequate postage. In general we will pick up bulky goods directly from you.

Important notice: Please always send sufficiently paid parcel to us. Our obligation to bear the costs does not imply the reverse conclusion, that you are entitled to return all parcels unpaid. Transport companies charge a reasonable extra fee, which should avoided last but not least in the interest of our customers. Furthermore, unpaid or insufficiently paid parcels require more processing time, i.e your return and refund will slow down considerably.
If you would not like to use the Budoten-Return-Service - for whatever reason - we kindly ask you to return your parcel sufficiently paid to us.
According our return policy we refund any surcharge for special treatment of your parcel (e.g. express-delivery, bulky goods etc.) only to that amount as it would be charged to Budoten in case Budoten would had been instructing a transport company by himself. It is for that reason, that we ask you to concact Budoten before you send back any goods on your own. Thus we can discuss the matter. In most cases you will get a parcel label for the return of the goods or we organize a pick up of the times in question.

Please note: Costs of not agreed returns of goods for which the transport companies charge extra money due to exceeding standard weight or dimension limits will be refunded only up to the costs which had been charged to Budoten in case Budoten would had been instructing a transport company by itself.

Complaints: Damaged Goods, Damage in Transit

If you have received damaged goods, please check first, if it might be due to damage in transit. You will get further information in the document "Damage in Transit".

If it's clear, that the damage is not due to the transportation, please contact us as soon as possible, to discuss the matter with Budoten.

Shipping Package

We recommend to use the outer shipping package for the return as well. In case it can not be used anymore, please pay special attention to pack the goods carefully in order to avoid any risk of damage in transit as fas as it concerns your side. Budoten bears the risk of transport in case of returns, but you should pack the goods negligently as this can consitute entitlements of claims of compensation in case of damage in transit.

Always include the sales package. The sales package is part of the item. To resell items the sales package is essential. Never use the sales package as outer package for the return! The sales package will usually not prevent damage in transit as it is not made for transportation purposes. In case of disregard of this information damages in transit must be expected.

Refund of Returned Goods / Costs

Obligatory refunds of payments, including individually agreed transport charges (please include a receipt or invoice in your return), will be made within 30 days after sending the revocation or returning the goods will be transferred to your bank account as far as the value of the returned goods exceeds 40 EUR or the goods had been paid otherwise. At payment by credit card we will credit the refund your credit card account; at payment via other payment services as e.g. PayPal, Amazon the refund will be made to the respective payment account, used for that particular order.

You should always keep the receipt of posting until the refund was credited to your account.

If you return goods delivered to a German address we will refund the direct costs of the return according the following conditions:

  • the value of the returned goods must exceed 40 EUR and
  • the goods must be fully paid and
  • the contract of sale must be revoked within 14 days upon receipt of the goods in writing or by email and / or the goods had been returned to us or you have sent a request of return in writing.

In any other case we will bear the costs of the return according the applicable legal provisions of that country where the order had been placed.

In any case, punctual dispatch of the goods or the revocation in writing suffices to comply with the time limit.

Withdrawal / Revocation of the Contract of Sale

In case you would like to return some goods, please inform us in writing or by email about your return request. Please always include your customer-id and the product-id's of the goods which shall be returned. Please note, that the request of return (= revocation of the contract of sale) must be sent to us within 14 days upon receipt of the goods. Thereafter we will send you further instructions. Upon receipt of the revocation / withdrawal you will get a parcel label for the return.

If goods cannot be sent as parcels, a punctual return request in writing is enough to claim your rights. The goods will be picked up by us. Parcels referred here means all parcels, for which transport agencies to not charge any surcharges (e.g. due to overweight or oversize).

Gift Certificates / Vouchers

If you hat been using a Budoten Gift Certificate or Voucher for your purchase, the amount will be automatically credited to your gift certificate account at Budoten. You may redeem it at your next purchase at Budoten. You will receive a new gift-certificate number. Please pay attention to the expiration date. A refund in cash is not possible in those cases.

Exclusion / Limitation of Returns

You can check the goods. But if you make use the goods, i.e. using them like an owner, this usage might be subject of paying a compensation which might reach even 100% of the value which means, that the return does not effect anything and there will be no refund.
Such a usage might be e.g. if you wash the uniform.
For the rest you can avoid paying compensation for value in respect of deterioration in the goods as a result of their proper use, if you do not use the goods the way you use your own property and refrain from doing anything that would curtail the value of the goods.

The return is excluded in particular:

  • custom made articles (e.g. badges, embroideries, prints)
  • unsealed audio- or video recordings, unsealed software
  • individually produced mat-areas

As for the Right of Withdrawal:

  • 14 days after receipt of delivery goods may not be returned any more.
  • The customer will have to bear the costs for any depreciation, if it is not only result of inspecting the goods. The customer should handle the ordered product carefully to avoid these costs in the case of a return.The same applies, if the sales package is missing or severely damaged.
  • Special attention should be paid to return items completely including the sales package and that uniforms or clothes should be folded and packed carefully as lack of those obligations might be a reason for charging compensations on to you because the items can not be sold as "new" anymore.

Please always note:

  • Be careful with the goods!
  • Check the goods in the same way you can check it in a local store!
  • Pack and fold clothes carefully!
  • Always include the the perfect sales package in perfect state in the well packed parcel!
  • Never use the sales package as transport package. Use instead a sufficient padded outer packing to avoid damage in transit.

Shipping Costs at Damages in Transit / Defective Delivery

Upon individual agreement we will refund the shipping cost if you have received damaged goods or the ordered goods do not match the delivered goods. As a rule we will provide you a return label for a free of charge return if your residence is located in Germany. In case of Damages in Transit we kindly ask you to pay attention to our special information.

Cost Transfer in other Cases

We ask for your understanding, that you will have to bear the costs of the return in other than the above mentioned cases, i.e. if the value of the returned goods does not exceed 40 EUR or if the returned goods had not been paid yet. If the value of the returned goods exceeds 40 EUR we will bear the costs of the return. Under 40 Euro you may choose a cost efficient shipping mode (e.g. "book post", "trade sample" or "small parcel"). Please note, that your shipment with these shipping modes does not include a transport insurance plus you don't have a proof for your return. To make it sure, you should use therefore always an insured, trackable mode of shipping (e.g. certified mail or parcel).

We would be pleased to send you a parcel label for your return; prime costs will reduce the refund, if we must not bear the costs of return according the legal provision and the conditions of the contract of sale.

Notes for Resellers, Retailers, Clubs, Companies and other Institutions

As the right of withdrawal / revocation does effect only private consumers, you have to bear the costs of return. Of course we will send you a return label upon request; but the costs of return will be deducted from the refund. If you return the goods on your own, please note, that sufficient paid postage is mandatory for the return. Any additional costs for the return due to insufficient postage will be charged on to you.

In case of legitimate complaints we provide you a parcel label for your return free of charge. Just send an email to info@budoten.com.

Why don't you like unpaid returns?

  1. Unpaid returns or parcel with inadequate postage cause reasonable additional costs. The right of withdrawal / revocation does not include automatically the right of returning the goods as unpaid or inadequate postaged parcel. Nevertheless we will accept the parcel in general.
  2. We provide a return label for a simple and comfortable return to us.
  3. DHL / German Post charges 12,- EUR as compensation for unadequate postage. We will charge this amount which arises in addition to the costs which must be beard by us. The postcontractional obligation of minimizing any costs is binding to any party. For that reason you should use our (in most cases free of charge) return service.
